Jared Cannonier and Gregory Rodrigues’ walkout songs

Jared Cannonier, a veteran of the fight game, is facing a moment of reckoning. A loss here means his first three-fight skid in the UFC, and at 41, that’s a tough mountain to climb. But ‘Tha Killa Gorilla’ isn’t one to back down. If his past performances have shown anything, it’s that he thrives in high-stakes moments.

So what’s fueling him for battle? Lately, Cannonier has been walking out to Ta-Ta-Ri-Gami” from the Princess Mononoke soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi. An unusual pick? Maybe. But the dramatic, almost mystical orchestration speaks volumes.

On the other side, Gregory Rodrigues, known to fans as ‘Robocop’, is riding a wave of momentum. With three straight wins in the middleweight division, his confidence is at an all-time high.

Rodrigues has a tendency to switch up his walkout songs, but last time, he made his entrance to “Fly Team” by Yung Montanna & Gripper. It’s a track that pulses with energy, mirroring his aggressive style inside the cage. Will he stick with it, or will we hear something new?

Walkout songs of Calvin Kattar and others on UFC Vegas 102

In the co-main event, Calvin Kattar is walking a tightrope. Three straight losses, four in his last five, means his back is against the wall. Yet, there’s something about desperation that brings out the best in fighters. Can Kattar turn things around, or will Youssef Zalal be the one to make a statement?

For years, Kattar has entered the Octagon to “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals. Haunting, poetic, and timeless, it reflects both his roots and the gravity of the moment. Win or lose, the song has been a constant through his ups and downs.

Youssef Zalal, meanwhile, walked out to “Up All Night” by Drake at UFC Edmonton in 2024. Will he stick with the same high-energy anthem, or does a new chapter call for a new soundtrack?

Elsewhere on the card, Edmen Shahbazyan will clash with Dylan Budka in a middleweight scrap. Shahbazyan’s song of choice? “Shook Ones Pt. 2” by Mobb Deep—a track synonymous with raw ambition and survival in the trenches. Meanwhile, Budka keeps things classic with “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley.

In the lightweight division, Ismael Bonfim is set to take on Nazim Sadykhov. Sadykhov has previously walked out to “Scenario” by Pop Smoke, a track that exudes confidence and grit. Bonfim, on the other hand, opts for a more spiritual approach with “Worship Home” by Gabriel Guedes.

From Jared Cannonier’s cinematic scores to Edmen Shahbazyan’s hip-hop bangers, UFC Vegas 102 is shaping up to be a showcase of personality as much as skill. What’s your favorite track from the list above? Share it with us in the comments below!
