Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka is one of the most anticipated fights in the UFC light-heavyweight division. On the one hand, we have a UFC veteran who shocked fight fans by pulling off an incredible upset over Polish former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.

On the other, we have one of the most fluid and elusive strikers in the UFC. With two great stories on the line, Teixeira vs. Prochazka has been scheduled for UFC 275 on June 11th.

After the fight’s first postponement, the location remained undecided for June 11th. Sources have now confirmed that the UFC is targeting Singapore to hold the event.

UFC 275 will be a welcome event for Singapore’s MMA fans if it takes place in Asia

If this event goes ahead, it will not be the UFC’s maiden Singapore fight card. Singapore has been host to the MMA promotion a past few times. The UFC made its debut in Singapore on January 4, 2014.

The most recent event that the UFC has held in Singapore was – UFC Fight Night 162: Singapore, where Demian Maia faced off against Ben Askren.

UFC 275 has two title fights on the card as of now. Jiri Prochazka will be fighting for the title against the current light-heavyweight champion, Glover Teixeira. Meanwhile, Taila Santos, the Brazilian #5 ranked flyweight, will challenge the current flyweight queen, Valentina Shevchenko. Over the coming weeks, the promotion will stack the card even more.

Singapore is one of the most glamorous cities in the world, rich in culture and lifestyles. It would be perfect for the UFC to hold another event there this year, especially with a ton of new fans coming to the arena owing to the promotion’s exponential growth.
