UFC superstar Nate Diaz has called out a big name in the UFC’s welterweight division. The Stockton native is a massive draw for the UFC. However, he is on the verge of completing his assignment as a UFC fighter and has only one fight left on his current UFC contract.
The larger-than-life figure found the most notoriety when he fought and defeated the Irish superstar, Conor McGregor. Lately, Diaz was clamoring for a fight with the top UFC lightweight fighter Dustin Poirier. However, it looks like Diaz has moved past him and called for the UFC welterweight champion.

In a recent tweet, Diaz hinted at a showdown with ‘The Nigerian Nightmare‘ Kamaru Usman. The callout seems a bit absurd, as Diaz has not won a fight in the welterweight division since his win over Anthony Pettis at UFC 241 in 2019.

However, Diaz is a fan favorite. Though he could be outmatched against Usman, his fans still hope for their favorite fighter to beat the pound-for-pound number one fighter.

Recently, Diaz had claimed to face Dustin Poirier and retire from the sport. Thus, a callout of Usman, if it is one, is bizarre, to say the least.
