After Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter in late October last year, the micro-blogging site saw multiple accounts that were previously banned make a return. Among them were Former President Donald Trump, author Jordan Peterson, and many others. The MMA world too saw one of its own make a return more recently to the site. UFC middleweight Sean Strickland, who was banned last year after passing controversial statements about gun laws and trans people, has now found his account reinstated back on Twitter.
And keeping up with his persona, Strickland, upon returning, made yet another tweet that many would find to be distasteful. To make it even more bizarre, the 31-year-old even tagged the Twitter CEO while claiming to test the limits of freedom on Twitter.

Sean Strickland tweets at Elon Musk upon getting unbanned on Twitter
Surprise took UFC fans when Strickland‘s account, out of the blue, made a tweet. This tweet was yet again made along the lines of the previous ones that saw the UFC middleweight getting banned on the micro-blogging site. This time around, the 31-year-old even tagged Twitter head Elon Musk while he posed a question with a sarcastic undertone. Naturally, fans and other fighters reacted to it, with even Jake Shields responding by saying that Strickland‘s account was not going to be around after that tweet.
“What?!?! @elonmusk unbanned me!!!!!!!!! I don’t think trans-women are women?? Test test test… ???” read the number seven middleweight’s tweet below.

Fans of Strickland or for that, any fan of the UFC, will recognize him as an individual who does like to make controversial statements now and then. Although whether some of his statements hold weight is a matter of perspective and judgment, which might differ among individuals.

The middleweight used to be a regular on the micro-blogging site, although most of his tweets were outlandish and distasteful for some. While Strickland might have been playing up his persona just for a laugh, his statements at some point were deemed to have violated the site’s rules. His opinions regarding gun laws, transgender people, or, for that matter, any political topic, were always quite polarizing.
After his return, the 31-year-old seemed to have gone back to his previous habits. He has yet again made some disputable tweets. For instance, he has bashed the social media site Instagram; which still has him on the banned list as of now.
