A top prospect fighting out of Manchester, England is set to break down the doors of the UFC’s bantamweight division. Undefeated prospect Muhammad Mokaev has been signed to the UFC and will come in with a 5-0 record. As it stands, no opponent has been slated for Mokaev, however, his track records demands notice from the MMA community.

Additionally, Mokaev comes in as the IMMAF champion and hardcore pundits expect great things from the 21-year-old. In fact, he’s now the second-youngest fighter currently placed on the UFC’s roster following Rong Zhu out of China. ‘The Punisher’ will look to wade through the talent-stacked waters in the bantamweight division and perhaps become the youngest champion in UFC history.

Furthermore, he took to social media after his signing and ended up showing the world the amount of resolve he possesses. Mokaev shared a screenshot of a chat with Dana White from four years ago that proves he is as legitimate as they come.

Muhammad Mokaev: How did this Dagestani fighter get to the big show?

The hype around Mokaev stems from the fact that he has had one of the few unblemished amateur records in modern MMA. Usually, fighters experience hiccups during their amateur career before making it to the pro leagues. However, according to Tapology, Mokaev is 22-0 as an amateur fighter and also boasts a 1-0 exhibition record and a 5-0 MMA record.

Such a comprehensive background in amateur MMA means that Mokaev is certainly ready for the upper echelon of the UFC. In fact, he was so confident in his amateur experience that he turned down an opportunity to fight on Dana White’s Contender Series. Chiefly, this is a rather bold move on his part, but it seems to have paid off in the end.

Speaking on the rejection of a DWCS appearance, Muhammad Mokaev told MMA Junkie, “I believe this 100 percent: I don’t need to go through the Contender Series to let people know about me,”. “I deserve straight road to the UFC.”

The MMA community will certainly have their eye on this top prospect who seems to have the tools to become a future world champion.
