UFC Seattle might be one of those cards that makes the case for why you shouldn’t miss a Fight Night card. For its final event of February with UFC Fight Night 252, the promotion is making its long-awaited return to Seattle after 11 years since July 2013. But it’s not just the location that’s getting fans hyped for this card. The main attraction features bantamweight veteran Henry Cejudo, taking on 27-year-old Song Yadong, while the co-main event showcases a middleweight battle between Brendan Allen and Anthony Hernandez.
Recently, UFC coach Javier Mendez made a statement saying, “The UFC is not a true sport, it’s entertainment.” And how can the entertainment industry thrive without a little glamour? And what is entertainment in the UFC without the iconic walkout songs? Over the years, these songs have become a ritual, energizing fighters before they step into the Octagon. It’s a dramatic cinematic experience for fans and sometimes a powerful message to critics. So, with UFC Seattle on the horizon, the big question is: what walkout songs will the fighters choose? Let’s find out.

Henry Cejudo and Song Yadong’s UFC Seattle walkout songs
Henry Cejudo, an 11-year veteran in the UFC, has achieved the remarkable status of a two-division champion. However, as he approaches the twilight of his career, the former Olympic gold medalist isn’t quite the same fighter he once was. Heading into his upcoming fight at UFC Seattle, ‘Triple C’ enters as the underdog, a result of his recent form and age.
After two consecutive losses to Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling, the American is eager to make a comeback. The big question now is—what will his walkout song be? In his last four UFC appearances—UFC 298, UFC 288, UFC 249, and UFC 238—Henry Cejudo walked out to “The Show Goes On” by Lupe Fiasco, with the exception of UFC 298, when he opted for a change and walked out to “Am I Wrong” by Nico & Vinz for his fight against ‘The Machine’. Following the pattern of his walkout song choices, it seems likely that ‘Triple C’ will go with the Nico & Vinz track once again.

Meanwhile, Song Yadong’s eight years in the promotion have seen its fair share of ups and downs. In his most recent fight, despite a tough loss to Petr Yan at UFC 299 last year, Yadong made an impact with his walkout song, “Gonna Fly Now” by Bill Conti. A year prior, at UFC Fight Night 233, he walked out to “Dragon Fist” by Jay Chou, a song he had also selected for his third UFC appearance. As UFC Seattle approaches, it seems likely that Yadong will stick with “Gonna Fly Now.” But what about the other fighters on the card?

Walkout songs of Brendan Allen, Anthony Hernandez, and others
Brendan Allen, the co-main event contender in the middleweight bout at UFC Seattle, is coming off a loss to Nassourdine Imavov. Before that, he was on a seven-fight win streak, and many wonder if the 29-year-old can bounce back from his recent defeat. In his UFC Fight Night 40 matchup against Chris Curtis, Allen made his entrance to “Nipsey Freestyle” by Dirty Dallas and “You Hate Me” by Dredo Bang. However, throughout most of his career, ‘All In’ has favored walking out to “Fireman” by Lil Wayne.
In contrast, Anthony Hernandez walked out to “Por Ti Volare” by Endo Rivera for his most recent fight. Meanwhile, light heavyweight contender Alonzo Menifield, who will also compete at UFC Seattle, has been using “Monster 2.0” by Jacob Banks featuring Boogie for his recent walkouts. With UFC Seattle quickly approaching, it’s tough to predict if these fighters will stick with their previous choices or opt for something new. We’ll find out when UFC Fight Night 252 kicks off this Saturday night at the Climate Pledge Arena. What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
