UFC 303 is just a week away and Conor McGregor is not going to be a part of the event. The 35-year-old was all set to make a return to the Octagon at UFC 303 but suffered an injury. While the Dubliner did try hard to recover on time, he failed to do so, which has now delayed his comeback. With speculations surrounding his injury, McGregor finally revealed that he was suffering from a broken toe. His reasoning has not gone well with former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen as the fan-favorite analyst took to his YouTube channel to share his opinion on the whole.

The 47-year-old has always been critical of McGregor and this time he thinks he is faking an injury. ‘The American Gangster’ believes the Dubliner is still recovering from his previous injury. He said on his YouTube channel, “So when Conor put out evidence that he was injured, which is a way of him resisting my belief that he is in rehab. ” While he did feel the former dual champion was indeed injured, his evidence is not enough for him.

Sonnen further stated, “Which is why he put out a picture of a discolored Pinky Toe. He just didn’t put out any evidence that it was his pinky toe and that is a surprise to me.” When Conor McGregor canceled his press conference, most fans predicted that he was suffering from an injury. It is now clear that the former champion indeed was facing a big issue.

In an interview, McGregor made it clear that he underwent stem therapy to help him recover. He said, “They’re [the slippers] cozy enough but I can’t get into a shoe yet. So you know… they put stem cell into me for the camp, took it from the back, they put it in me foot. 20 milligrams of stem cells.”

McGregor is still recovering from the injury and might be eyeing a return in August or September. The 35-year-old has faced a lot of criticism for pulling out of the clash. However, he is also facing a lot of trouble because of his injury, as revealed by him in an interview.

Conor McGregor shares the details of his latest toe injury

UFC’s rival promotion Bellator returned to Ireland to host an event and surprisingly McGregor was present there. This was his first appearance after pulling out of his UFC 303 event. One of the biggest causes of concern for many is the kind of injury he is facing. It seems that the former dual-champion is in a lot of pain and has restricted movements. While speaking to the media during the event, he said, “I’m good. The injury is, it’s a nuisance. It’s painful.” This is not the first time that McGregor has faced an injury. He faced an injury three years back, but this time he was in a lot more trouble.

He further added, “I’m not gonna lie. It’s very, very painful. Probably more painful than the leg and that’s the truth.” According to the Dubliner, his previous injury did take away a lot of time, but this time it’s a bit different. He added, “The leg, at least, was wrapped up. I couldn’t access it. The foot is just there still… It’s exposed or something. So, it’s a bit painful but it comes with the f***ing territory,”.
