The curious case of Conor McGregor and his return has finally reached its conclusion after months of building up. McGregor is now out of his UFC 303 clash against Michael Chandler, much to the surprise of the fans. After nearly staying out of action for more than three years, the 35-year-old once again pulled out because of an injury. Following the cancelation, many rumors have been floating in the UFC world with people doubting injury being the reason behind McGregor’s absence. Former UFC champion Daniel Cormier and Ben Askren are the latest to join the bandwagon as they revealed how negotiations might have forced McGregor to pull out from the clash.

‘Mystic Mac’ called off his press conference in Dublin on June 3, which forced many to believe something was wrong. However, he took to his social media to share videos of his training and looked in sublime form. It is now clear that the Dubliner is facing issues that forced him to walk out of the main event. Cormier, while speaking to Askren on the ‘Funky and The Champ’ podcast, pointed out that he did feel McGregor was injured and tried to recover in time. He said, “Yeah, but I think like I think something’s really wrong. Because last week when it happened, it seemed like Conor was trying to do things to make people go. He’s okay.”

While Askren was quick to agree to the fact, he pointed out some interesting stuff that forced Cormier to rethink his claims. Askren claimed, “The other thing that UFC did, I think it was I think we don’t remember when we recorded, but the one thing that it shows you is they’re serious when they do this. They pull his fights off YouTube.” McGregor is one of the biggest stars in the UFC and pulling off his fights does hint at something big. ‘DC’ also seemed to agree as he added, “If it’s like they are taking your stuff off because they are mad at you. Feels more like negotiation supposed to any injury.”

UFC CEO Dana White has yet to disclose any exact details of the kind of injury the champion is facing. Amidst all rumors surrounding his injuries, former middleweight champion Michael Bisping might just know the details.

Michael Bisping updates the fans about Conor McGregor’s injury

When ‘Mystic Mac’ snapped his shin in his last outing, most felt it was the end for him. However, the 35-year-old worked tirelessly to recover from that and return to action. But did he recover from the devastating injury? Well, Michael Bisping feels he hasn’t. Just like most MMA fans, Bisping is also disappointed with the withdrawal of Conor McGregor.

‘The Count’ took to his YouTube channel to discuss the details about his injury. According to the former champion, he spoke to John McCarthy, who gave him the details of the injury. The veteran pointed out that he injured the same leg which he injured three years back. Bisping revealed, “[John] told me on no uncertain terms… [Conor] is injured, he’s hurt himself. His leg, the leg that he broke that snapped against Dustin Poirier. The titanium shin bone has failed.”

Surprisingly, McGregor was sure to use the same leg to knock out Michael Chandler. However, it now seems that he will have to once again get back to full fitness before entering the octagon. How severe is Conor McGregor’s injury this time around? Or there is some other reason behind his fight cancelation, as pointed out by Daniel Cormier and Ben Askren.
