At 35 years of age, Conor McGregor is definitely at the twilight of his career. The former champion has previously lost three years of his prime because of an injury. However, his latest injury has not only delayed his return but is also testing Chandler’s patience. Chandler is one of those rare fighters who has dedicated himself to this fight. The pair has been waiting to face each other for a long time but somehow the fight doesn’t seem to happen. However, it seems that the wait might just be over soon.
Chandler took to his X account to share a training clip with his fans. At 38, ‘Iron’ looks in sublime shape and seems ready for the battle ahead. However, more than his video, it’s his caption which is interesting. The caption read, “Time well spent in progress is never wasted. New Date LOADING. Walk on. See you at the top!”.

His post has now caught the action of most fans out there. However, there is no official announcement of his return date yet. After pulling out of UFC 303, McGregor lately appeared at the Bellator event which happened in Ireland. The reporters took notice of him and were quick to ask him a barrage of questions. While speaking to them, the Dubliner gave them an update on his comeback while also sharing the experience of his injury.

When Conor McGregor injured his leg in 2021, most of the fans felt it was the end for him. However, through sheer resilience and determination, the 35-year-old was all set to make a comeback. This time he is suffering from a broken toe, which is far worse than the last one. While speaking to the reporters at the Bellator event, ‘The Notorious’, shared an update about his return date and said, “August or September I’d love [to fight Michael Chandler]… I’m in recovery mode.”
The former dual champion then pointed out the struggles he was going through at the moment. According to the 35-year-old, his broken toe is far worse than his previous injury. McGregor revealed, “I’m good. The injury is, it’s a nuisance. It’s painful. I’m not gonna lie. It’s very, very painful. Probably more painful than the leg, and that’s the truth.”

Currently, ‘Mystic Mac’ is undergoing stem therapy and taking measures to get back to full fitness. The UFC is yet to announce any date for his return.
