Daniel Cormier fears that Conor McGregor will not be making it to UFC 303! ‘The Notorious’, who already has a record of 22-6 in MMA and 10-4 in UFC, was set to come back to the octagon after two years. Everyone was hyped, including himself, and he was even going to do a world tour presser in Dublin at 3 Arena ahead of the fight. Suddenly, just 12 hours before the presser, UFC announced its postponement, and now, everything is hanging by a thread.

The reason for this cancellation is still unknown, even though McGregor apologized for the inconvenience caused due to “circumstances out of our hands.”  This not only makes people speculate about the reasons but also makes them fear the worst. Daniel Cormier declared his fear recently while speaking to Chael Sonnen, and he became the bearer of apparent bad news.

Cormier analyzed the situation and insinuated that ‘Mystic Mac’s’ comeback on June 29th against Michael Chandler might be in trouble. The UFC 303 Dublin press conference is already canceled and hardly 30 days are left for the mega fight. On top of that, ESPN removed the pinned posts of this bout from their Instagram, and ticket prices have also been drastically reduced! Dana White is silent, as is McGregor. In this scenario, Daniel Cormier is expecting the worst.

He discussed this with Chael Sonnen and shared his fears. He said, “ You know what’s crazy to me? If they are to have to replace Conor Chael? I don’t even know if Mike’s in the main event.” His fear even made him ask Sonnen the main question and the retired fighter said, “If they have to remake a fight to headline UFC 303, do you think that the fight will still involve Michael Chandler?” ‘The American Gangster’ was not stirred by the rumors or fears and he thought otherwise. He said that UFC takes its bouts very seriously and if they promised Chandler an opponent, they would bring it.

The $20 million gate record has already made fans expect the best and they are eagerly waiting for McGregor’s comeback. However, the cancellation of the presser, on top of that, McGregor’s partying videos along with White’s silence is making the UFC buffs imagine the worst.

He declared in Good Guy/Bad Guy that fans need to brace themselves. However, he also said that Dana White might argue and scream at the media and give them a hard time but he never lets the fans down. This time it looks a bit different, though, because a huge event was canceled, and that is in an inner country where UFC events are already rare. The fans were not only from Ireland but people flew over from other countries to Dublin just to witness the press conference.

The Hall of Famer said, “When the press conference was canceled, you saw people on Twitter (X), people on Instagram speaking of having their travel, being prepared to go and watch, flying over to Dublin to watch a presser. That’s a disappointment. So, to me, it feels like this is a big deal.” The tickets for the presser were sold out instantly, and 8,000 fans got the tickets to see their favorite UFC fighter.

He did extensive research and spoke to several insiders and executives. Unfortunately, no one gave him a concrete answer or reason.
