A massive $17 million has been pumped in by UFC to make UFC Noche one of the most memorable events for the promotion. The once-in-a-lifetime event will take place on the sidelines of Mexican Independence Day and it will happen at the Las Vegas, Sphere. There were rumors that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler would be returning on that day for their ultimate clash, however, nothing astute came forward on the matter and now another UFC insider claimed an opposite prediction.
While in conversation with the “The Pat McAfee Show”, the UFC supremo, Dana White claimed that the fight card will only have 10 fights, “We’re going to do 10 (fights),” White told McAfee. “There will be a main, co-main, and obviously this card will be very Mexican-heavy.” This confession by the UFC head honcho decreased the probability of a McGregor fight and another UFC insider has come forward to predict the fight card.

After the entire UFC 303 fiasco, Conor Mcgregor came forward to emphasize that he would be returning to the Octagon around August or September to finally make his comeback. This announcement caused the MMA community to wonder, whether the UFC has put forward the UFC Noche fight card in front of them. Well, it appears that those statements were nothing more than a facade or rumors.
Renowned Journalist and UFC insider, Ariel Helwani has come forward to assert that the UFC is certainly not planning to put Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler on the same card with another championship defense. “The same reason why Conor fighting Chandler in the Sphere Card would be tremendous and feel like a perfect fit: it is a very expensive card. Dana said a couple of weeks ago that 17 million dollars are already allocated and invested in it, and there’s more to come,” said Helwani.
He further added, “Now, you know that Riyadh Season is sponsoring this, and that helps. But they aren’t putting Conor on the same card as another champion because of the whole pay-per-view thing, and it would cost too much money to put on top of that. So, you should put that aside.”
Ariel Helwani talks UFC French-Canadian broadcast that supposedly leaked the two title fights for the Sphere.
