Is Conor McGregor right to demand freedom from Dana White's UFC contract? What's your take?

Former dual-champion Conor McGregor surprised the world when he pulled out of his clash against Michael Chandler at UFC 303. The Dubliner broke his toe and was not able to recover in time, therefore he couldn’t turn up for the event. However, he is currently on his road to recovery and is waiting for his comeback. But it seems ‘Mystic Mac’ isn’t quite impressed with the way he is being treated.

McGregor, since suffering from the devastating leg injury, is yet to make a return to the Octagon. It now seems that the 36-year-old might not feature in 2024 at all. UFC CEO Dana White has shot down the idea of him making a comeback this year. While it was believed that UFC 310 in December might have featured the former two-division champion, there is hardly any announcement of his return as of yet. McGregor isn’t quite impressed by the idea and recently took to his Instagram account to show his resentment.

The Dubliner is fairly active on social media and constantly keeps his fans updated. This time he was indeed seeing training but with a unique caption which has been shared by Championship Rounds – ‘When I get free,’ wrote the former ‘champ champ.’ McGregor has only two fights left in his contract with the UFC but it seems he is confined and restricted by his obligations. Speculation is running wild with many of the fans believing that this caption might just be hinted at the UFC CEO Dana White.
