The UFC light heavyweight division has been struggling to stabilize ever since Jon Jones moved on in 2020. The 205 lbs title has since changed hands between Jan Blachowicz, Glover Teixeira, Jiří Procházka, Jamahal Hill, and Alex Pereira. Now, another potential change of hands on the belt might be on the horizon if the latest rumors are true.

UFC light heavyweight, Jamahal Hill managed to win the vacant UFC light heavyweight title after beating his opponent, Glover Teixeira, at UFC 283 last year. Hill vacated his title not long after his win, owing to an Achilles tendon tear while playing pickup basketball. At UFC 295 in November 2023, former middleweight champion Alex Pereira beat former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiří Procházka for the vacant title and Hill has been eyeing the new light heavyweight champion ever since. Now, he might be ready to take him on.
