31-year-old Red Dela Cruz is the first Philippines-born Octagon girl in Dana White‘s promotion. However, she is now a citizen of Australia. Cruz first burst onto the UFC scene after leaving her job in finance in Sydney and deciding to join the world’s biggest MMA promotion. She came under the UFC’s radar in 2015, winning a competition where the UFC was looking for an Octagon girl. Since then, Cruz has been traveling the world as part of what she deems to be a ‘dream job’. Her UFC popularity has helped her garner millions of followers on all of her social media handles combined.

During an interview with ‘The Daily Mail‘, Red Dela Cruz mentioned her relationship with Dana White. She claimed that the UFC CEO has been nothing but joyful to work for. Cruz said, “Boss Dana is super cool and very nice person! I love him. I always get nervous whenever I see and talk to him because he’s the big boss.” Moreover, she also had the chance to interact with Joe Rogan as well. “I met Joe Rogan too, in New York about three years ago. He is really nice and has great energy,” said the 21-year-old. Although the UFC keeps adding Octagon girls to the promotion, former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was never a fan of it.
