The UFC president, Dana White, is not someone who stays silent when anyone tries to bring him down. White is the strongest pillar of the world’s biggest MMA promotion, and he has worked his fingers to the bone to build the UFC empire. However, as he grew popular as one of the major figures in the combat sports industry, the media’s eagle eyes followed every single move of the UFC president.
White was not ready to be content with the UFC alone. He was always open to broadening his horizons. As a result, the 53-year-old started his new venture, “Power Slap: Road to the Title.” Ever since the official announcement of the reality series, White has received harsh criticism from the media. It increased to a great degree when the show started airing on TBS. Now that Power Slap premiered its last episode, a video of Dana White lashing out at the media by comparing himself with Warren Buffett is circulating on social media.

The UFC president was talking to Outkick ahead of the finale of the Power Slap League. In the interview, the 53-year-old condemned the media for criticizing the Power Slap League without knowing anything about the business. White said, “You have these guys who do nothing, know nothing, have never built anything–nobody’s ever depending on them for a paycheck and you listen to their opinions, or their attacks, or whatever you want to call it that these guys are doing….. its fascinating to me.

To explain the idiocy of reporters, White compared himself with the business magnate Warren Buffett. The UFC president said, “It would be like me looking at things Warren Buffett is doing and then going ‘oh, this is ridiculous, Warren Buffett is going to lose all his money and this thing.
White continued, “What the f*ck do I know about sh*t Warren Buffett is investing in? That’s how f*cking stupid it is when I listen to reporters try to talk about my business. But these guys actually come out and write about something they know nothing about.”
Moreover, the head honcho of the UFC is not new to criticism and backlash to innovative ideas and concepts.

The UFC President has gone through the motions
Talking further on the same topic, White expressed his anger at the reporters who wrote that Power Slap is going to get canceled because its premiere tanked. He detailed how these people know nothing about ratings but are eager to judge.
The American said he faced a similar backlash when he started UFC. For White, the hatred that the Power Slap League is receiving is absolute déjà vu. Back when the UFC started to gain popularity, many saw it as barbaric, where two men fought inside a cage like animals. Nonetheless, White seems satisfied with the result of his new venture. At the moment, the fans need to wait to find out White’s next plan.
