UFC has always been facing flak for something or the other, be it fight cards or just fighter’s pay. Even though UFC 300 saw a huge increase in the fighter’s pay to almost  $50k to $300k, fans and veterans were still not happy. However, when the average PPV is compared to other combat sports payouts, there is a huge disparity. Payouts between UFC stars and boxing stars are starkly different.

For instance, Jon Jones who  Dana White considers to be the best P4P fighter got $ 15 million against Stipe Miocic and Tyson Fury got $150 million against Aleksander Usyk.  This is the main reason why hundreds of fighters even filed an antitrust lawsuit against the UFC boss. Nevertheless, this disparity has sparked huge reactions from fans even after White tried to correct it through UFC 300.

Even during a recent video uploaded by The Fight Bubble, there was a fan who asked the boss to increase the payment for fighters. She was pretty bold and, in some ways, explicit when she spoke about the fighter payments. She said, “Dana you need to pay the fighters more because they only are making 50K. We make more in the streets bro. Pay ’em better, pay ’em better then we’ll talk okay boy.”

Dana White had promised a fighter bonus before the fight but after Leon Edwards lost to Belal Muhammad, he promised not to announce bonuses like this before the fights. Many veterans were not happy about this decision. On top of that, this comment by the fan also riled up other fans of UFC who commented on the video.

Fans chime into the woman’s verdict about fighter pay

The UFC fans have always had a problem with the payment that is given in this promotion and compared it to boxing. However, it seems like things might be changing especially when we see UFC ESPN 62 compliance pay. However, the fans still commented on the women’s verdict on the lesser payment given to UFC fighters. One follower explained the pattern of payments and wrote, “It’s usually 50 per show 50 per win so that’s 100 in one fight and fighters fight about 2-3 a year which is about 250k depending if they win or get a bonus.”

Another follower also decided to diss the woman and explain how the payouts work. They said, “On average, the UFC pays fighters more than any other combat sports league in the world. Low IQ. As per the latest reports, UFC’s total payout exceeded $28 million for the ESPN 62 fight. There is a pattern of compliance pay in this promotion that depends on the number of fights that an athlete has fought. So in this case Angela Hill had 26 appearances and is the second most experienced female fighter in the promotion so she received $21K compliance pay for her event against Tabatha Ricci. On the other hand, her opponent who only has eight fights in UFC received $4K in compliance pay after she won against Hill. So clearly it all depends on the number of fights someone has fought and won in UFC.

Fans were pretty riled up by her comment and chimed in with their perspectives. One follower said, “Breaking news She has been banned from all future events,” while another added, “When you mean well but have no idea what is going on.” Another follower brought Ariel Helwani into the mix and wrote, “Ariel Helwani’s side piece.”

One follower deciphered her accent and commented on where she might come from. They said, “She sounds like she is from Toronto.” Clearly, even if the fans are disappointed with the payments, they did not show any support for the women’s comments.
