There have been a lot of rumors regarding what the main event of UFC 300 would look like. Some have speculated that interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall could be in it and fight light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. Tom Aspinall had earlier mentioned his wish to fight Jon Jones after defeating Sergei Pavlovich to win the interim heavyweight title. However, ‘Bones’ will be out for a while, given that he’s injured, but the British fighter could have another plan in mind.

The UFC 300 pay-per-view will be a landmark event for Dana White‘s promotion. As such, he’s announced some pretty good fights for the event’s card. However, the UFC CEO has yet to announce the main event for the fight. This brings us to Tom Aspinall, who fueled speculations of fighting at UFC 300 with a story on Instagram. He shared a screenshot that indicated that he will be flying to Las Vegas in April during the PPV’s fight week.

Most fans may think that Tom Aspinall confirming his presence at UFC 300 may not be a big surprise. It is because the top stars of the promotion are often expected to attend the event even if they are not fighting. Furthermore, the interim heavyweight champion also included a Maoi emoji in his Instagram story. It is a stone-faced figure that indicates a tease to Alex Pereira, which has fans believing that he might just fight ‘Poatan’ in the main event of UFC 300. However, Aspinall has yet to get any word from Dana White, which he revealed on TikTok.

Aspinall’s waiting for Dana White’s announcement regarding the Alex Pereira fight

Tom Aspinall shared a video on his TikTok account where he mentioned that he has not yet discussed or heard Dana White mentioning him fighting Alex Pereira. Furthermore, he also confirmed that he was not fixated on fighting ‘Poatan’ but would fight him if the UFC presented him with that fight. Aspinall stated, “On my end, I’ve heard nothing so far… I’m not particularly looking for that fight [against Alex Pereira], but if it’s available and they offer it to me, I will take it. I’m ready to fight.”

Furthermore, Tom Aspinall addressed the discussions many people are having regarding his next fight. Apparently, he doesn’t have his sights on a particular opponent and is willing to fight anyone that the UFC offers him. “There’s been a lot of shouts about who I should fight next. I’m ready to fight. Let me know. It’s as simple as that. Let me know who and where,” said Aspinall.
