The much anticipated UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia has finally come to an end after months of building up to the event. Some of the best fighters in the division stepped up on the occasion and entertained the fans. While the main event was the center of attraction for many, the event also marked the return of Kelvin Gastelum.

Gastelum took on Daniel Rodriguez in an intense clash but managed to win the fight via decision. Despite his emphatic victory, the 32-year-old faced a lot of criticism from UFC CEO Dana White for missing the weight. Now former champion Michael Bisping has also shared his opinion on the whole.

‘The Count’ took to his YouTube channel to discuss the entire event. While he did seem excited about Gastelum’s performance, missing weight was a big issue for him. The former champion said, “Right, the story was apparently he was messed around with his travel. But he wasn’t. He’s been in Saudi Arabia for about two weeks. So that tells me he wasn’t dedicated.” He further pointed out that Gastelum didn’t take his weight cut seriously and said, “Kelvin Gastelum looked a little soft. He’d had been enjoying rice potatoes steaks. You name it, he’s been enjoying it.”

Not only Bisping, but the UFC head seemed disappointed with the fighter’s approach. After the successful completion of the UFC Fight Night, Dana White interacted with the media to answer some questions. While the 54-year-old seemed happy with the event, he took a special dislike for Kelvin Gastelum. The 32-year-old missed weight, which forced the promotion to change the fight to the 185-pound division.

While speaking to the media, White said, “I am not thrilled with Kevin Gastelum right now. You know this guy has missed weight like three times in his career. ” Not only Bisping and White, but Joe Rogan was also quite unimpressed with the approach of Kevin Gastelum. In a live session on the JRE YouTube channel, the UFC color commentator pointed out the biggest drawback of the fighter.

His dedication to the sport is a big issue and even the JRE host feels the same. While speaking on his YouTube channel, the 56-year-old shared his honest opinion about the fighter. Rogan has always been a fan of Gastelum because of his skills as a fighter. However, his dedication has always been a cause of concern for him. While speaking to his guests, the JRE host shared some details of his conversation with the fighter, which he had eight years back.

Rogan revealed, “Bro I had a conversation with him maybe 8 years ago at the store. We were going out, and I said Kelvin, if you just got disciplined and dropped down to 170, you’re a world champion.” Gastelum has yet to win a title in his UFC career despite being a talented fighter. He is desperately trying to get into the good books of Dana White after missing his weight for UFC Fight Night. However, it will be interesting to see whether he makes weight in his next clash.
