Conor McGregor has made his predictions for the UFC 298 card scheduled for tonight in Anaheim, California. While the Irishman is not expected to attend the event, he has come out with his take on how he sees the main fights on the card play out on X.

‘The Notorious’ started by showing support for his compatriot, who is set to face Geoff Neal. Next for the main card, he has picked a dominant win and a clear winner between Alexander Volkanovski vs. Ilia Topuria. Seemingly he has not forgotten about the other fights on the card and clearly his verdict is out. So while we wait for his ‘epic comeback,’ let’s take a look at what he has to say.

McGregor forecasted that his compatriot, the young and undefeated Ian Machado Garry will knockout Geoff Neal in the first round. A lofty claim but not impossible, given his undefeated record so far!

For the main event, ‘Notorious’ predicted that while Ilia Topuria will hurt champion Alexander Volkanovski early, the latter will come back strong and win within two rounds. While he clearly gives due credit to Topuria’s power, ‘El Matador’ doesn’t emerge as a champion in his predictions.

On the other hand, he felt that the Robert Whittaker vs. Paulo Costa middleweight bout will go the distance, as will the virtual no. 1 bantamweight title contender bout between Merab Dvalishvili and former champion Henry Cejudo.

Whether his predictions will come true or not, only time will reveal. But one thing’s for sure, it had gotten the fans intrigued and they were quick to react.
