What was supposed to be a smooth-sailing comeback match for Conor McGregor suddenly turned into speculation and rumors. The former dual-weight champion is about to return to the arena after three long years of hiatus; however, there’s a looming darkness over his fight with Michael Chandler on June 29th. McGregor and Chandler were supposed to be a part of the UFC 303 press conference on June 3rd but it had to be canceled without any explanation by the UFC. This gave rise to multiple rumors.

The MMA community, which was absolutely certain that June 29th would mark the return of the former king of the promotion, is now raising their eyebrows towards ‘Mystic Mac’ and Chandler. Ultimately, MMA pundits and fans stated that McGregor will not be returning as chatter floated that Dana White is looking for replacements. However, seems like Michael Chandler has finally come out of his cave to answer questions about his fights.

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were supposed to clash with each other on June 29th; however, questions were raised about their fight as the UFC and ‘Mystic Mac’ canceled the press conference on June 3rd. It was shocking because it was supposed to happen in McGregor’s hometown, Dublin. rumors of the cancellation of their fight started after this. Why, you ask? Well, McGregor was partying heavily before the press conference instead of training. Initially, it was scrubbed off by Dana White but seems like there was some mystery to it as well.

 

Despite thousands of comments from fans and hundreds ͏of s͏t͏͏atements from ͏͏M͏MA pun͏d͏its an͏d insiders͏,͏͏ ͏it seems ͏like Mi͏chael C͏ha͏͏n͏dler is f͏inally ͏stepping ͏out͏͏ of͏ his ͏͏co͏mfort zone to clarify the doubts. While having a conversation on ‘The Pivot Podcast’, Chandler illuminated that his clash with Conor McGregor, as of today is going to happen regardless,  “The fight is happening, yeah, where we are right now, there’s a lot of speculation but yeah the fight is happening on June 29th,” said Chandler.

Chandler’s c͏onfession came after multiple doubts were ͏raised about their fight. Following the confession, fans claimed that the drama was fabricated solely to boost ticket sales. Nonetheless, many former fighters even renowned names such as Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier raised their doubts on the match but according to Rampage Jackson, the fight is going to happen.

Even though the MMA pundits and the community are of the opinion that the fight is already canceled and the UFC is just stretching the matter, former light heavyweight champion, Rampage Jackson believes that the probability of the fight not happening is near to none as Conor McGregor would not let this chance flip sides.

While having a conversation with the podcast, Rampage said, “Oh yeah, I think Conor is going to show up. You know Conor, he’s a man you know. He needs to show up for the for the sport. He’s the reason why our sport is at the height that it is right now. So you know the world needs to see Conor McGregor in a cage doing his thing,”

Will Conor McGregor show up? or will it be another shame for Dana White, as of now the questions remain unanswered.
