Can Leon Edwards reclaim his glory after the shocking loss to Belal Muhammad?

Leon Edwards failed to defend his welterweight title at the recently concluded UFC 304 event. ‘Rocky’ took on the undefeated Belal Muhammad in the main event of the night. However, the grappling skills and the speed of the 36-year-old proved too much for the Englishman. This was the second time the pair faced each other inside the Octagon and Muhammad now holds the upper hand.

‘Rocky’ seemed highly dejected after his loss as he spoke during the post-fight interview. However, he has now come out and shared an emotional message for the fans on his social media account. Let us find out what he had to say.

Mostly Leon Edwards’ social media posts are about his training, but this time he directly addressed his fans on Instagram. ‘Rocky ‘wrote, “To my fans, I’m sorry I couldn’t get the job done this time. I have been through harder times than this in life and I will rise again. Thanks for all the love and support I will get this back in blood. #headshot”

In the UFC main event on Saturday in Manchester, ‘Remember the Name’ seemed to be a man on a mission. Just like he promised he was desperate to prove to everyone that he was the best in the welterweight division, Muhammad did exactly that against Edwards. The new champion dominated the fight from the first round and was able to control the fight on the ground.

Edwards, who is known for his exceptional defense, played second fiddle in the entire fight winning just one round out of five. While he did take special care in his training for wrestling, the Englishman just couldn’t handle the pressure.
