Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from the sport of MMA back in 2020. However, he continues to be associated with the sport one way or the other. Not to mention, he has not ceased to fight either. The former lightweight champion continues to train and coach his teammates. Moreover, in a recent turn of events, it is alleged that Nurmagomedov got into an ugly fight while protecting his teammate outside of the gym.

At the outset, it is asserted that this revelation has not been verified yet, however, it is making rounds online. So without much delay, let’s dive right in on what we know about this brawl.

All about Khabib Nurmagomedov’s recent brawl

In the past, the Dagestani fighter has not shied away from throwing down at any time or any place, especially if his teammate is disrespected. As per recent reports, Nurmagomedov’s teammate, Magomedrasul Mutaev urinated on someone and subsequently was later shot down and later passed away. Witnessing this, The undefeated fighter took the matter into his own hands and indulged in an ugly brawl.

Someone from his team narrated the whole incident and said, “We got into a brawl, guys. I knocked out the guy who attacked me first. What a fight that was, you can’t imagine twice, we brawled twice. It was intense, they ran away afterwards.”

This altercation allegedly took place in Dagestan and the late teammate of the legendary fighter was only 20 years old. Moreover, this debacle, if true, is quite tragic, to say the least. Nurmagomedov on Russian Street fights

Nurmagomedov does not endorse violence outside of the cage. Moreover, he also has never explicitly talked about street fights in Russia. However, there have been instances wherein he has implied that Russian brawls are quite violent. Back in 2019, he was having a go at Tony Ferguson at a press conference about street fighting. However, Ferguson remains unfazed but Nurmagomedov made it a point to hint at what he was suggesting.

In an interview, he said, “I gave a little hint that a street fight in America isn’t the same thing in Russia. If you fight in a street in America, you’re kinda insane. It’s not what normal people do there, so don’t talk about something you don’t know. He tried to look better in the field he is not that good. I told him that. You saw it.”
