Jon Jones isn’t convinced that UFC boss Dana White would believe that he lost his bout against Dominick Reyes! ‘Bones’, the current undisputed UFC heavyweight champion is considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists to ever step foot inside the Octagon. With the sole defeat in his career coming via disqualification over the ’12-6 elbow’ ban, many prominent figures and fans in the MMA sphere have proclaimed him the ‘GOAT’.
But is that really true? Because there might be some debate even in the mind of White about him winning a controversial decision over Reyes. The UFC boss has been a staunch supporter of Jones and recently even proclaimed, “Jon Jones is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world and the greatest fighter f****** ever. Period. End of story.” As such, Jones wasn’t willing to believe that the UFC head honcho would go against him when it comes to his record!

At UFC 247 in 2020, Jones took on a surging Dominick Reyes in a 5-round clash for the UFC light heavyweight title and the outcome had caused a lot of debate in the MMA world. Now, in a recent update, it was revealed that UFC boss Dana White had proclaimed that he believed that Reyes should have won that fight, and Jon Jones wasn’t exactly happy with it.
According to a post shared on X by the MMA Frenzy account, it was revealed that, “Jon Jones reacted to a resurfaced clip of Dana White saying that he believed Dominick Reyes deserved the win at the #UFC247 post-fight press conference, via Instagram.”
The post contained an image of ‘Bones’s response on Instagram where he’d simply stated, “AI” to highlight the fact that he doesn’t believe what was on display. The main event of UFC 247 was a unanimous decision win for Jones. However, according to reports available online, 14 out of 21 media outlets had scored the contest in favor of Reyes.

But even if he doesn’t agree with the UFC boss or the people who had scored the bout for Reyes, Jones admitted that he had been pushed to the limit. In a past interview on the OverDogs podcast, ‘Bones’ reflected on the fight and confessed that, “I got in the fight with him and he was giving me a true f**king run for my money, He was the only other person to do it to me outside of [Alexander] Gustafsson. I remember thinking to myself, ‘F**k. You may have met your match, Jon.’”
