There is a rumor circulating in the UFC about a potential clash between the current UFC Featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, and the current BMF title holder, Max Holloway. Although there are no updates yet, it’s worth noting that they currently compete in different weight classes, with Topuria in Featherweight and Holloway in the Lightweight division.

Additionally, just hours ago, an MMA-oriented page on social media shared a reel where UFC CEO Dana White provided more updates on the Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes fight. Inspired by the upcoming UFC 303 fight, Ilia Topuria has reportedly extended a challenge to Max Holloway, offering him an advantage deal for their potential bout.

Recently, UFC 303 has been making headlines not because of Alex Pereira but because of its main card featuring Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes. Initially set to fight in the Featherweight division, Ortega revealed before the weigh-in that he couldn’t make the 145 lbs weight limit. As a result, their fight will now take place in the Lightweight division.

Dana White addressed this change, stating, “ It’s a featherweight win. It’s a featherweight fight.” Ilia Topuria retweeted this video and with his potential fight against Max Holloway brewing, he wrote, “Max, you won’t have to cut to featherweight. I will defend the belt at 155 pounds, but please sign the contract.

Previously, Topuria claimed Holloway was too old for the title, but by delivering an astonishing performance at UFC 300 against Justin Gatheje, Max Holloway silenced his critics and called out Topuria after his win.

Interestingly, even Brian Ortega recently claimed in an interview that the Topuria vs. Holloway fight is booked.
