Dana White has seldom failed to hype up Jon Jones as the greatest fighter of all time. Be it battling with the committee that didn’t put Jones at the top of the list or defending the heavyweight champion against anyone who didn’t think as highly of him, the UFC CEO has established how much he respects and appreciates Jones. The promo was aired during the broadcast of Dana White’s Contender Series season 8. While the MMA realm was waiting for a fight announcement, it received just a GOAT promo. The video began with Joe Rogan lifting Jones up high. Rogan can be heard saying, “When Jon Jones steps into the Octagon, you’re looking at the greatest pound-for-pound fighter of all time. He’s beaten every human being he’s ever competed against. He’s the GOAT!” And a few moments later, the UFC color commentator continued, “That, ladies and gentlemen, is the future.”
It was indeed a video that had all the eye-catching moments from Jones’ UFC career. It highlighted his achievements, like becoming the youngest champion in the history of UFC, going on the longest unbeaten streak, having the most wins and fight time in LHW history, and many more. But one thing that captured the fight fans’ attention was the UFC head honcho praising ‘Bones’s strength. White said, “When you talk about who is the baddest dude in the world, you put two guys in a room and Jon Jones walks out of that room every time.”
The praise continued to shower on top of the heavyweight champ. He was indeed the one who has landed 1,463 significant strikes and has about 95% takedown defense. These are the records he has set in the light heavyweight division. On top of that, he has a combined opponent record of 396-87, and has already become a two-division champion in the UFC.

UFC CEO defends ‘Bones’ from the media
During the press conference for Dana Whtie’s Contender Series season 8 week 3, one of the reporters asked the UFC CEO if Jones really was the P4P GOAT. White was visibly annoyed by the question. He didn’t waste a single moment to announce, “He is pound for pound best fighter and he is the goat and you all know this.” Soon after that, the UFC head honcho lashed out at the media for thinking otherwise. White said, “Numbers don’t lie. Are you guys that fu**ing stupid? You can’t be that fu**ing stupid to not think Jon Jones is the best fighter in the world”
Impressed with White’s stance on him, Jones showed a bit of respect for the UFC boss. He highlighted White’s skills in handling the business and claimed that if one put White in any business meeting with anyone in the world, it would be him rising to the top. “You put Dana White in a business meeting with any man on this f—ing planet; there’s only one man coming out on top. Real recognize real,” the champ said.

However, not everyone was in support of the White’s stance. Sean Strickland pointed out that Jones could have definitely stood on the top of the pound-for-pound list back when he was competing in the LHW division. But now, he has fought only once in the last 4-5 years.
Now, with the new promotional video out in the market, the UFC has disclosed who the real P4P king is. What do you think of the promo video? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
