It seems the event not only entertained the crowd but also made a record, revealed by none other than Bruce Buffer. He has been a part of the UFC for a very long time now and has witnessed some of the biggest events the UFC has ever conducted.

Bruce Buffer’s latest tweet points out the massive success of UFC fight night

It seems Dana White is desperate to make records every time he is under pressure. After completing a successful UFC 300, it seems the UFC head honcho is desperate for more. This time, the 54-year-old has created a record after the completion of the UFC Fight Night Event. Bruce Buffer took to his X account to share a message for the fans and Dana White.

The message read, Thank you to all the awesome St. Louis @UFC fans for your amazing energy & for making last nights UFC Fight Night so much fun to announce but for also making it the highest grossing UFC Fight Night of all time held in the USA with $2,460,197 in ticket sales which is an amazing achievement. Big Cheers to all the Octagon Warriors who put it all on the line for our entertainment.”

One of the biggest attractions of the night was the main event fight between Derrick Lewis and Rodrigo Nascimento. Lewis, who was struggling with his form inside the Octagon, finally returned to winning ways after a knockout victory. However, what followed was a surprising dance celebration, which caught the attention of most of the fans.

UFC CEO Dana White also took notice of the celebration and, during his post-fight press conference, shared his opinion on the whole thing.

Dana White shares his honest take on Derrick Lewis and his unique celebration

Derrick Lewis surprised everyone with his emphatic third-round victory against the rising superstar Nascimento. The battle was evenly poised in the first few rounds, with both fighters exchanging blows. However, in the third round, Lewis landed a brutal punch in the face, which shut down his opponent.

Lewis then celebrated by taking off his shorts and dancing above his opponent. However, his celebration did not end there. The Texas native then threw a cup at the media, which was later signed by ‘Blackbeast’. Dana White, in his post-fight press conference, shared his opinion on the celebration.

The UFC head said, “He’s a fun, exciting heavyweight who knocks people out, and he’s funny.” However, White did mention that he was a bit lucky that the cup didn’t hit him. He said, “I would prefer not to, but you were very lucky to catch that.” Later on, White did sign the cup, as he was forced by the media to do it. The UFC CEO laughed off the entire event without making much of a fuss about it.
