Michael Chandler has dropped a hint regarding his clash with Conor McGregor! The fight between the two has become a topic of much speculation by the fans. Originally set to face each other last year, after the conclusion of their TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) 31 season, there has yet to be a confirmation regarding the new date for their bout.

As such, in a recent update, Chandler teased the fans that a UFC 300 clash between them is “to be decided”. This prompted the fans to highlight their frustration in the comments at the lack of concrete news about the fight!

In a video posted on social media, McGregor claimed, “The greatest comeback of all time will take place in Las Vegas, International Fight Week of June 29. The opponent, Michael Chandler – and the weight, Mr. Chandler, 185 pounds.”
However, when asked to confirm the same, UFC boss Dana White stated that the statement is not true and that, “we’ll announce it”, regarding the Irish star’s return. As such, when Chandler recently responded to a post concerning UFC 300, he claimed that his clash against McGregor is, “TBD”

In summary, the frustration is palpable, with fans weary of the prolonged talks about a Chandler vs. McGregor clash and some even imagining alternate UFC scenarios. McGregor’s influence, according to one fan, has transformed an exciting prospect like Michael Chandler, into what is described as an “inactive ghost.”
But according to a former UFC ‘champ-champ,’ there is a possibility that McGregor returns at a weight class he has never competed in, while still holding all the cards over Chandler!
McGregor’s return at a higher weight class is imminent
Daniel Cormier is convinced Conor McGregor will return to the Octagon in the middleweight division! McGregor recently claimed that his bout with Michael Chandler will be held at 185 pounds, a weight class unfamiliar to both fighters.
While Cormier believes welterweight would be more sensible, he anticipates McGregor will dictate the terms. In an episode of the ‘DC & RC’ show, he stated, “It shouldn’t happen there. I agree that it doesn’t have the meaning that it should have (at lightweight). But I still believe it does because I believe that Conor McGregor is just going to make Michael Chandler do whatever he wants.”
