The MMA world is currently in a dilemma about one decision: the fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. McGregor has announced his return for summer against Chandler while talking to ESPN. His opponent ‘Iron’ Chandler did the same with TMZ Sports not long after that. Meanwhile Dana White has not given any fixed dates for the fight so it’s still in the dark.
This is not the first time that the Irishman has announced his fight against Chandler and confirmed it. He confirmed that he would be back in action in UFC 302 but the UFC CEO had denied it. Uncle Chael is also in two minds, regarding the fight and gave his news recently.

Chael Sonnen again spoke about the fight that has put fans in a dilemma. He said, “We have our answer [from Dana White] that there is not a fight booked you then have Michael Chandler today go to TMZ, and tell TMZ, ‘I can confirm for you that there is a fight it’s this summer I cannot confirm for you the date.’”
He had a point when he said that if UFC wanted to do a big reveal, he would want the boys to not expose anything. Sonen explained, “If they wanted to do their reveal would tell the boys not to say anything. That’s true but if they were planning their reveal Dana would not have denied it. Just so you understand. If Conor’s saying yes, Dana saying, it’s not done you have Chandler confirming that it is done but he can’t confirm a date. What are we to guess? Could I see that happening? Yes and no.”
So ultimately according to the former UFC fighter, it is still doubtful whether the fight is going to happen or not. This uncertainty has taken the UFC world by storm and now even fans are in two minds. However, even if Dana White is not giving a date he still has not shied away from addressing Conor McGregor’s return.

Dana White talks about Conor McGregor’s return
During a podcast episode on the Pound 4 Pound podcast the CEO finally addressed McGregor’s return to the octagon. He claimed that there was no gap in communication between the two parties. However, he seems to think that the former UFC double champion is busy promoting his movie and he should not try making a return at the present moment.
White said, “There’s no lack of communication. You know where Conor is tonight, he’s in New York City for the premiere of Road House. He has obligations right now to promote this movie, so he’s been flying all over the world going to all the premieres of this launch, this is an obligation that he has to do… It is what it is, he committed to this movie, he has obligations to this movie, he can’t do both.”

So it seems that White is trying to give enough time for McGregor to promote his movie and then finally return to the octagon and fight. Do you agree with the CEO’s statement or do you think the fight should take place this summer?
