UFC News: Backed by Dwayne Johnson, Themba Gorimbo Reveals Solar Powered Library Is in His Plans Through Auction- “Kids Can Go at Night”

Themba Gorimbo pulled himself out of the trenches of Zimbabwe and has made a name for himself in the sport. He is loved by fans and he is also backed by none other than Dwayne Johnson. The Hollywood actor and Gorimbo share a lot in common. Both came from humble beginnings and made it in their own right. This very fact resonated with the Hollywood actor and he made his support for him known.

However, unlike Gorimbo, many kids from Zimbabwe continue to be deprived of several resources. That being said, the UFC fighter addresses the same issue in an interview and unveils his endeavour.

Gorimbo undertakes an altruistic endeavor

According to Gorimbo, several people from Zimbabwe do not have access to utilities that are granted in first-world countries. He specifically addresses that many kids are discouraged from studying after sunset as there is no light. So, he has decided that somewhere down the line, he will build solar panels for underprivileged kids so that they can rightfully have access to several basic facilities.

In the post-fight interview of his last fight, he said, “I was thinking about it when I was running a few weeks ago. I can’t actually do that. Go there and build a big building. Put solar panels and the kids can go at night to study there so the hunger I don’t know man. I have a lot of things to fulfil.”

Moreover, while posting this snippet, he also reveals that he is putting his kit for auction on Monday to raise funds to go build a free accessible solar-powered library. Needless to say, this initiative, deserves applause, and he is not only getting support from the fans but even an A-List celebration.

A-List celebrity congratulates Themba Gorimbo on his recent win

Gorimbo fetched himself his 12th victory against Pete Rodriguez via a first-round stoppage. Safe to say, he has proven himself to be a fighter worthy of being in the UFC as this is his second UFC win. The sky is the limit for the fighter and already received support from A-list celebrity, Dwayne Johnson. The Hollywood actor even face-timed him to congratulate him.

On the call, ‘The Rock,’ appears to be very happy for him and states, “Incredible win my brother. We’re all so proud of you. Keep climbing that mountain and inspiring everyone along the way. Congrats to you, your coaches and TEAM. Love U !!”
