Jamahal Hill is an exciting fighter in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. He is going to make his return to the octagon at UFC Fight Night 201 on February 19, 2022.

Hill last fought on the UFC Vegas 44 card against Jimmy Crute. Before entering the fight, he was handed his first professional loss at UFC 263. Going into the fight against Crute, nobody gave him a fair chance to get the win. However, he proved his naysayers wrong by putting in a dominating performance. ‘Sweet Dreams’ finished his opponent in just 48 seconds and won the fight via a knockout.

His next fight is against Johnny Walker. The Fight against him will get a lot of eyeballs, but he isn’t worried about what people think of him. During the UFC Fight Night 201 media day, Hill said, “Even now, people still like, it’s crazy–it’s a weird thing on how people view fighters and their skills and what their capabilities are. If Steph Curry shot 0-for-10 from 3-point, you going be like, Oh, he shouldn’t shoot. Whenever he shoots, he shouldn’t shoot.”

Being in the main event will be a huge step up for Hill, but he is not worried. He believes his skills are superior and a win against a name like Walker will be huge for his career.

Johnny Walker vs. Jamahal Hill

The main event at UFC Fight Night 201 was going to be Rafael dos Anjos vs. Rafael Fiziev. However, Fiziev faced visa issues which led to the fight being moved to UFC 272.

Because of the postponement of the main event, the light heavyweight clash between Walker and Hill was moved up. The fight between the two is a highly anticipated one. Walker is coming into the fight with a lot to prove. He is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Thiago Santos and is 1-3 in his last four fights. He was one of the biggest prospects when he joined the UFC and would want to get back on the winning track.

Hill, on the other hand, is coming off a devastating win. He bounced back from a first-round TKO loss at the hands of Paul Craig by knocking out Jimmy Crute. A win against Walker will get him inside the top 10 and only a couple of wins will surely make him a contender.
