The UFC is back in Kansas City, and we’ve got a pretty stacked Fight Night event with some heavy-hitters on the card. Ian Garry will be making his return after a tremendous showing against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, attempting to get back to his winning ways with a win over Carlos Prates in the event’s headliner, who’s on a roll in Dana White‘s promotion at the moment. So, action is guaranteed, and guess what? They could be making bank as well!
UFC Kansas City is going to be an exciting and emotional event at the same time. Why? Well, Garry and Prates are two of the most impressive welterweight talents on the roster, so we can expect a battle to remember from the duo. On the other hand, we have light heavyweight veteran Anthony Smith making his last walkout in Kansas City, capping off a career that spanned almost a couple of decades. What is Carlos Prates & Ian Garry’s payout at UFC Kansas City?
There’s no doubt that Ian Garry is one of the fastest rising stars in the UFC, despite being the polarizing figure that he is. With a record of 8 wins and 1 loss in the UFC, ‘The Future’ has managed to reach the position of earning $100,000 as his base salary. When it comes to his biggest payouts, the Irishman got his biggest payday in his last fight when he took the welterweight boogeyman, Shavkat Rakhmonov, to the limit. According to BetMGM, Garry took home a reported $1,050,000 in the aftermath of UFC 310.
Moving on to Garry’s second-highest payout, he made $204,500 for his fight against Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC 303, which he narrowly won. Hence, the 28-year-old Irishman has only been able to reach the million-dollar mark once in his career, which gives us the estimate that he could be making somewhere in the range of $500,000 to $1,000,000 this weekend at UFC Kansas City.
Moving over to his opponent, the finishing machine, Carlos Prates, the ‘Fighting Nerds’ affiliate, has been on quite a tear in the UFC. Overall, he’s got a 10-fight finishing streak going on, and in Dana White’s promotion, ‘The Nightmare’ has finished all four of his opponents in the first two rounds. Quite impressive, isn’t it? Well, for that, he’s slowly stacking up the money, with his payouts increasing with every impressive win.

Carlos Prates is relatively new than his upcoming opponent in the promotion. Hence, the most money he’s made for a single fight was in his last fight against Neil Magny, whom he put to sleep in the first round, and he made around $350,000. The next big payout came in his fight against Li Jingliang, where he took home somewhere around $115,000. So, to make an estimate for UFC Kansas City, Prates could earn a payout of up to $500,000, since he’s fighting in the main event. Now, let’s take a look at the other fighters on the card, because there are some other top fighters on the card.
UFC Kansas City salaries of Anthony Smith, Zhang Mingyang, and others
Anthony Smith has had a career of ups and downs and was once even cut by the UFC in 2013. But he made his way back and has been competing at the highest level for years. With a base salary of $200,000, Smith’s biggest payout came when he fought Jon Jones for the light heavyweight title. Reports claim that ‘Lionheart’ took home a hefty $350,000 that night at UFC 235. Hence, we could see him earning a similar paycheck for his last fight in the co-main event.
