Max Holloway shocked the entire MMA world after knocking out the most violent finisher in the light division, Justin Gaethje at the historic UFC 300 event. The Hawaiian took no time to call out Ilia Topuria for a fight after his legendary KO at the post-fight interview. Given that Topuria was in the stands just made the callout even better.

Despite “Blessed” making a massive statement at UFC 300 and calling out the UFC featherweight champion, “El Matador” still seems to believe that Holloway has much to prove before making a claim for the UFC gold. But given that Topuria has announced that he would be defending his title this year, an MMA insider seems to believe that the two will end up fighting at a venue that the UFC has never been to.

During a recent episode of the “WEIGHING IN” podcast, Josh Thomson and Big John McCarthy talked about who they would like to see fight inside the octagon. Thomson made a pretty interesting matchup and set the perfect would-be stage for the fight between the two most interesting featherweights in the promotion.

During the podcast episode, Thomson stated, “I think they’re gonna have him fight Ilia Topuria. I think there’s a good chance that he fights Topuria in Spain. I think that would love to see that maybe at a soccer arena. I don’t know, in a big stadium there. I think it’s well deserved. I think the fans are in Spain want it and I think Max is crazy enough to go to someone else’s stomping grounds and go ahead and have that fight. He’s a dog man.”

However, despite everyone wanting to see the matchup between Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway take place, the featherweight champ seems to feel like he has the power to call the shots. Here is what Ilia Topuria wrote in a tweet.

“El Matador” takes to Twitter to lay out his terms for the fight against “Blessed”

Ilia Topuria took to Twitter to announce his terms on whether he fights Holloway. In the tweet, he pointed out that he was able to finish Volkanovski, the fighter who beat the Hawaiian three times, and went on to predict that he would do the same to “Blessed” if they were to ever fight.

He went on and write, “I no longer fight for money but for legacy. Winning that belt while holding my title will cement me as the first. The first to hold both belts. The first to knock out volk and what most certainly will happen when we fight, the first one to put you to sleep. Something to calm you down is this: God doesn’t shame anyone. You will have a worthy defeat against a champion who will be remembered for eternity. I decide who, when, and where. If you don’t like the terms I’m sure Ortega will oblige”
