Khamzat Chimaev has broken his silence regarding his illness and a possible fight at UFC 300! ‘Borz’ last made an appearance inside the Octagon when he faced Kamaru Usman on short notice at UFC 294 last year. The fight was marked by Usman stepping up to face Chimaev after Paulo Costa, his original opponent, was removed from the event due to a staph infection in his arm. While Chimaev came out on top he sustained an injury to his hand during the fight, requiring surgery.

Chimaev was also linked to a possible clash for the UFC middleweight title this year, however, issues with his health and the injury sustained in the Usman fight derailed the plans. But ‘Borz’ has now come out and revealed that the UFC had reached out to him regarding a fight at UFC 300 and also provided more insight into his illness for the fans!
