UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping Pays Homage to Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky 4 With Powerful Message

The sheer display of what unwavering determination and zeal can achieve makes ‘Rocky’ a source of motivation for many around the world. Particularly athletes, who can connect to Rocky Balboa’s journey even more directly than others. And one such ardent fan of the movie is none other than the UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping. The 43-year-old recently gave some advice for anyone who struggles to exert the necessary effort at the gym. Upon doing so, Bisping explains how ‘Rocky’ helps him get through the hardest workouts and encourages his followers to adopt the same strategy, promising that it will bring out their ‘flying’ colours.

Michael Bisping asserts that Rocky IV can help you ‘fly’

Despite having stopped competing, the 43-year-old makes sure to maintain his fitness. But even he succumbs to human flaws like not having a strong enough will to exercise or simply not being motivated enough. And in such circumstances, Michael Bisping has a tried-and-true method to combat the impulse to give up. In honour of ‘Rocky IV’, Bisping shared a stirring message on his Instagram story on how to persevere.

Bisping wrote, “If you ever can’t be arsed with your workout, stick the rocky 4 soundtrack on and you’ll be flying. F**k me.”

That is indeed a surefire method to stay motivated when things are tough. Having said that, despite the fact that we largely concur with the UFC Hall of Famer on this one, it appears like Khabib Nurmagomedov may not. Considering that he had a convincing justification for not being a supporter of ‘Rocky Balboa’.

Khabib rooted against Rocky Balboa

‘Rocky Balboa’ stands as one of the most aspirational characters ever written. And being such an extraordinary individual with a remarkable journey, it is difficult to think that anyone would root against him. But Khabib wasn’t much of a fan. He didn’t root for the Italian Stallion in ‘Rocky IV’.

During an interview with TMZ, ‘The Eagle’ stated that he was Team Drago all the way. “(Ivan Drago)He’s from Russia. He’s from USSR. Of course I support him.”, said Nurmagomedov. And given that he’s a full-blooded Russian, it only seems fair for him to root for Ivan Drago.
