The UFC lightweight division is set for some spotlight this Saturday on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs. Holland. There are three fights in the prelims, which will be fought between fighters of the lightweight division. Chief among them is Jim Miller vs. Joe Solecki.

Miller, a man who has fought in the UFC since 2008, will fight his 49th fight professional fight in MMA. On the other hand, his opponent Solecki is a newcomer in the sport when compared to him. Solecki has fought 12 times in his professional career and has an impressive record of 10-2.

He is also on a five-fight win streak and hasn’t lost a fight in the UFC. This will be his third fight in the organization after he got a UFC contract when he beat James Wallace in Dana White’s contender series in 2019. However, this is also his toughest opponent as of now.

Miller has fought the best of the best in the lightweight division in Nate Diaz, Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, and Frankie Edgar. However, he lost his last fight against Vinc Pichel via a unanimous decision. He needs to win this fight to cement his place in the UFC.

Meanwhile, Solecki will look to put in an entertaining performance to make sure that he enters the top 15 in the official UFC rankings for the lightweight division. His win streak would look even more impressive with a win over a legitimate stalwart of the division.
