Andreas Michailidis fights K.B. Bhullar in a middleweight contest in the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs Prochazka. Michailidis last fought in July, suffering a strange stoppage at the end of the first-round against Modestas Buakuskas. He ate some 12-6 elbows, and the fight was stopped due to more bizarre incidents at the end of the first round.

Bhullar made his UFC debut in October, suffering a first-round T/KO loss against Tom Breese. This was Bhullar’s first loss in his professional career. He was on an 8-fight winning streak prior to that. However, the quality of opponents he has faced before his UFC debut is questionable.

The Indo-Canadian, Bhullar has finished 6 of his 8 fights before joining the UFC. He has 4 T/KO and 2 submission wins in his resume so far. Michailidis, on the other hand, has a professional record of 12-4. The 32-year-old Greek fighter has 11 finishes on his resume. 7 T/KO and 4 submissions accumulate those numbers for him.

Michailidis has fought under the Bellator MMA banner once. He lost by T/KO against Jason Butcher in 2014 in his only outing for the organization.

Andreas Michailidis and K.B. Bhullar: Analysis

Bhullar suffered a big blow in his confidence as he was finished in his UFC debut after arriving with an undefeated record. Also, the manner in which he was finished might be discouraging for him. He was dropped by a jab and finished by ground-and-pound subsequently. Many might question the legitimacy of his opponents prior to the UFC.

‘Spartan’ also suffered a defeat in his UFC debut. But the manner of his loss was much better than that of Bhullar’s. He also has looked sharp in his previous fights for different organizations. One might claim he is actually UFC standard. But ‘The Bengal‘ has to prove his mettle.

Michailidis might look to mix takedowns and land some of them. Also, he might win some striking exchanges at times. Bhullar has some spectacular finishes in his record. But if he can replicate those at the UFC level, remains to be seen. He might just get overworked by ‘Spartan‘ and drop a decision.
