UFC Fight Night: Gane vs Volkov will see a lightweight match-up between Renato Moicano and Jai Herbert go down as the main card opener. As both fighters are entering the fight on the back of a loss, they will be determined to get their hand raised this weekend.

Moicano, a UFC veteran since 2014, has already made 10 appearances inside the UFC Octagon. Having made a promising start to his UFC career, the Brazilian has dropped 3 out of his last 5 fights. Adding to the misery of his skid, all 3 of his recent losses have come by knockout. Hence, the submission specialist will be determined to alter the path of his UFC career when he enters the Octagon this weekend.

Renato Moicano vs Jai Herbert: Analysis

Herbert looked really good in his last fight against Trinaldo. Despite his loss, there were moments in the fight where the Englishman put his skill to display. However, the questions about his chin remain.

Moicano, on the other hand, is very chinny. He moved up a weight class to not put the extra taxation of cutting weight anymore on his body. But this fight might prove he is probably a bit undersized for the 155 lbs division of the UFC.

Herbert will look to keep the fight standing and stay away from Moicano‘s excellent ground game. He might be able to frustrate his Brazilian opponent on the feet and eventually get a late finish in his favor.

Final Prediction: Jai ‘The Black Country Banger‘ Herbert by third-round T/KO.
