The UFC Fight Night Cannonier vs. Gastelum event is all set to be one of the most interesting MMA events of the year. There are a plethora of great fights scheduled for the event. However, one fight that is sure to excite everyone is the Lightweight clash between Clay Guida and Mark Madsen.

This co-main event fight between these two combat sports legends will be one to watch out for. Both Guida and Madsen are veterans of the sports but have had very different journeys coming into the fight. ‘The Carpenter’ is an MMA legend and has been professionally competing since 2003.

The veteran fighter has an incredible record of (36-20) and will enter his 57th professional MMA fight this weekend. While Guida has not been in the greatest of forms recently, it will still be interesting to see how he performs at UFC Vegas 35.

However, Guida’s opponent is no slouch and is a legend in his own right. The veteran wrestler turned MMA fighter is a former Olympic medalist and has also won 5 medals at the world championships. ‘The Olympian’ started his MMA career back in 2013 and has since performed admirably.

Currently, the fighter is undefeated in MMA and has a record of (10-0). He has won 3 of his fights via KO, 3 via submission, and 4 via decision, hence proving his all-around ability.

UFC Vegas 34: Clay Guida vs. Mark Madsen – Analysis

Madsen has performed admirably well in his MMA career till now. However, ‘The Olympian’ has not really been tested till now in his UFC career and even though he is 39 years old, Guida can prove to be an enormous challenge for him.

Madsen has also shown signs of poor cardio in his recent fights. Therefore, ‘The Carpenter’ will look to take the fight deep and win via decision. However, that will be very tough as Guida is not the fighter he once was and Madsen is in dominant form.
