UFC 277 is an important night for both Julianna Pena and Amanda Nunes. After their UFC 269 fight ended with Peña submitting Nunes in the second round, many want to see if the UFC women’s bantamweight champion can pull off an encore.

While this rematch will give the champion a chance to prove herself again, ‘The Lioness’ will look for redemption. During their UFC 277 faceoff, Peña had some powerful backup. It was none other than her daughter, Isabella Alejandre.
The UFC shared a picture of Peña‘s young daughter backing her during her faceoff with Nunes. In the caption, they wrote, “The champ had some back up ready during that face off”.

Does Julianna Pena want her daughter to become a fighter?
While Peña is one of the few people to have defeated Nunes, she does not want her daughter to become a fighter like her. The main reason is the injuries that are inevitable because of fighting.

However, the champion has also stated she will support her daughter if she wants to fight in the future.
