This event took at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The Dublin native threw a steel trolley at the bus window. Besides, ‘The Eagle’, there were several other UFC fighters and associates on board. One of them was the UFC vice president, Reed Harris.
In a conversation about the incident, Harris recalled what the Russian fighter calmly told him following the attack. Nurmagomedov’s sentiments astonished even the vice president of UFC, who was upset by the incident.
“So he [Nurmagomedov] comes up to me afterwards, and he says, he’s trying to be nice, I’m kind of shaken up. He says, ‘Reed, in Dagestan I’ve been in many bus attacks. It’s ok you’ll get used to it,” Harris said.
On the bus, a number of other passengers suffered serious wounds and needed medical attention. ‘The Notorious’ was subsequently charged as a result of his deed. Additionally, he faced harsh criticism from the combat sports community.
