The Power Slap League of UFC president Dana White, has received a lot of backlash since the day he made an official announcement of the show. Several MMA stars, both inside and outside the UFC, severely criticized the president’s new venture. From risking the lives of the participants to paying just 2k to them, the show always took a place in the news headlines for all the wrong reasons. Most of the viewers have expressed through several social media platforms how brutal the slap fight is. Recently, another video related to the power slap league caught the attention of many. In the video, UFC play-by-play commentator Michael Bisping is seen slapping the power slap competitor Jesse Nutting. The surprising factor is that he did it as a favor!

Michael Bisping slaps as a favor

In a recent video uploaded by the UFC’s YouTube channel, Michael Bisping is seen in the locker room of the Power Slap League. In the locker room, the reality show contestant, Jesse Nutting, asked the retired MMA fighter to honor him with a slap. To which Bisping said, “It would be my honor.” Nutting felt so motivated and charged after receiving a slap from the former UFC middleweight champion. He asked for another slap, and Bisping, after seeing the sportsmanship of the competitor, gave another slap. Bisping himself felt so enthusiastic that he was screaming at the top of his lungs and counted before giving the second open-hand warm-up slap. Later he shook hands with Nutting and gave all the best wishes to him.

Jesse Nutting is a military veteran who loves to goof around, but when it comes to the power slap, he is way too serious. Once he has an opponent, like every military officer, he makes sure that he gives it his best shot to destroy them. He served as a private in the U.S. Army, and now he is leading his retirement life. He has a family of four kids, and all that he is doing is for the kids and his girlfriend. However, Nutting participates in the Power Slap League with his whole heart. In the video, it is visible how Nutting seeks motivation from ‘The Count’. Towards the end of the footage, Bisping looks at Nutting, who looks completely fired up for his match. Later, Bisping said, “You are a f*****g psycho,” looking at the fully charged Nutting.

Instead, many claimed it was brutal and unfair because the competitors had to risk their lives. Additionally, the fact that the competitors have no option of defending themselves while getting slapped was mentioned by the viewers as a cruel rule. Nonetheless, all combat sports fans need to wait to find out what the show has in store.
