The sporting world was taken by storm as rumors started to float about NFL legend Tom Brady’s retirement from football. Among those who were left flabbergasted by the rumor was UFC commentator Jon Anik.

NFL’s official social media posts fueled the speculations about Tom Brady’s retirement as they wished the legendary quarterback for all he has achieved in the sport. The NFL made a special hashtag for the occasion #thankyoutom and also released multiple video post tributes for the ace sportsman.

One of the UFC officials who reacted to the news was longtime play-by-play commentator Jon Anik. Although Anik’s tweet was more towards the hilarious side instead of the shocking one. Anik also made a request to Brady for a bizarre reason.

“One more year, Tommy. Shut ’em up again. Can’t go out playing like the M.V.P.! I mean you gotta regress a little before you go. #GOAT @TomBrady @seanshelby 🐐🤫,” Anik tweeted.

Jon Anik is one of the most renowned commentators at the UFC. Fans recently saw Anik at the UFC 270 event.

When is the next UFC PPV?

The next UFC event will come after a week’s hiatus, followed by a UFC Fight Night event in the first week of February. UFC 271 will go live on 12th February. The fight card features a middleweight championship rematch between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker.

Meanwhile, a blockbuster heavyweight fight will also partake in the event as ‘Shoey’ sensation Tai Tuivasa will lock horns with Derrick Lewis on the co-headliner.

The premiere MMA promotion just concluded its first PPV event of the year, UFC 270. The event was an instant hit with not one but two championships at stake.

A heavyweight grudge match between former sparring partners Ciryl Gane and Francis Ngannou headlined UFC 270 event. Plus, the trilogy fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno also took place at the event. Although ‘The Predator’ retained his belt, things did not end up good for ‘The Assassin Baby’.
