Aljamain Sterling has indeed showcased his dominance in the Octagon during his last fight against TJ Dillashaw at UFC 280. The ‘Funk Master’ is now set to return to the arena and fight against Henry Cejudo in the main event of UFC 288. Without a doubt, the UFC bantamweight champion is unable to contain his excitement. He took to Twitter and expressed his excitement for the fight on 6th May 2023. 

Furthermore, Dana White put forth a few more names in the main card for the upcoming UFC 288. Although the cards overflow with excitement, the return of Nate Diaz‘s protégé and training partner Kron Gracie also raised the spirits.

Recently, the UFC president announced the pay-per-view cards for UFC 288. He said, “What’s up everybody? I’m sure you heard. We are coming back to Newark, New Jersey. May 6th. Main event, Sterling versus Cejudo. The co-main event, [Charles] Oliveira versus [Beneil] Dariush. We got [Xiaonan] Yan versus [Jessica] Andrade. [Bryce] Mitchell versus [Jonathan] Pearce. The return of Kron Gracie, he’ll be taking on [Charles] Jourdain. We have a stacked card. We’re coming back to Jersey…” Furthermore, he said, “Tickets go on sale, next Friday the 17th. I will see you all in New Jersey.”

Later, the bantamweight champion revealed his excitement and wrote, “LFG!!!” Although the former two-division champion announced his retirement back in 2020, his return to fighting for the bantamweight title is apparently something that raised the bars for the fight.

Nevertheless, with a stack like the one announced, one could rarely take a break from the hype train. Both ‘The Messenger’ and ‘Funk Master’ have strengths unlike anyone else. However, only time knows what the outcome of the fight would be. 

Sean O’Malley can’t wait for UFC 288

A couple of days ago, Sean O’Malley took to Twitter and revealed his excitement about UFC 288. “Can’t wait for May 6th,” wrote the #1 bantamweight fighter. Undoubtedly, Sterling had some remarks for ‘Sugar’.

Surprisingly, Sterling replied, “Facts! The tu*d isn’t making up his mind. Be ready my guy. This is the fight the fans really wanted to see anyway.” Nonetheless, the fight between Cejudo and Sterling would be one of the most entertaining fights in the coming months.
