UFC Champion Jamahal Hill Claps Back at Magomed Ankalaev With Strong Words

UFC 283 was a game-changing night for Jamahal Hill. He displayed a spectacular performance against Glover Teixeira to win the light heavyweight title by unanimous decision. Since then, there has been a lot of talk about the future opponents of the light heavyweight champion aka ‘Sweet Dreams’. Magomed Ankalaev is one of those names. The Russian-born MMA fighter currently ranks #2 in the UFC light heavyweight rankings. After his controversial draw against Jan Błachowicz for the vacant light heavyweight title at UFC 282, many count him as the next big contender for the light heavyweight title fight.

War Of Words Between Jamahal Hill and Magomed Ankalaev

Recently Magomed Ankalaev responded to Jamahal Hill’s interview by posting a tweet that addressed the current light heavyweight champion as ‘chubby’. “Careful what you wish for, chubby. I am coming for my belt”, said the Russian in a tweet with adjoining pictures of himself and Jamahal Hill.

After about 3 days, Hill came back with some harsh words for Ankalaev. “Chubby will turn you into a meme earn the fight and will gladly free these free on yo Abe Lincoln lookin *ss!”, said the champ in a tweet targeting the 30-year-old. 

How it all began?

The verbal exchanges began when Jamahal Hill had some bitter-sweet things to say about Magomed Ankalaev in an interview. While Hill acknowledged the fact that Ankalaev is “up at the top”, he also said that he “wouldn’t mind knocking him (Magomed Ankalaev) the f*ck out”.

Fans are wondering whether Hill and Ankalaev will face each other in the octagon for the title after things seem to be heated up between the two fighters.
