Dominick Cruz vs Jose Aldo is a dream fight UFC fans have longed to see, but sadly the two never got the chance to face each other. Aldo dominated the featherweight division, while Cruz had a similar reign at bantamweight.
This match-up would have been seen as a super-fight back in the day when the duo ruled their respective weight classes. However, despite their fall from the top, and Jose making a jump to bantamweight, both men are chasing the same goal.

Dominick Cruz responds to Petr Yan’s suggestion on Twitter
In a Twitter post shared by the interim champion, Petr Yan last year, he called both the fighters to face one another. He stated that this is the perfect opportunity for both fighters to finally make this dream fight happen.
Both Cruz and Aldo have managed to best top competition in the bantamweight division are on a collision course.

The former 2-times UFC champion is open to facing the veteran fighter, and now everything rests in the hands of the matchmakers.

The King of Rio managed to best the top contender in Rob Font, which put him one step closer to realizing his dream of once again becoming a UFC champion.
Meanwhile, former bantamweight champion has also managed to beat a noteworthy name in Pedro Munhoz, and it has elevated his rank to 7. With the current champion, Aljamain Sterling is set to face interim champion, Petr Yan.

The bantamweight division hasn’t been seen in over a year, as Sterling suffered an injury last year. This forced the promotion to book an interim title fight between Cory Sandhagen, and Petr Yan.
The Russian fighter managed to come out with his hands raised and now he has been booked to unify the title at UFC 273 on April 9, 2022.
