UFC 307 looms on the horizon! And it brings Alex Pereira‘s third fight of the year to fans’ delight. However, what some fans are not delighted by is ‘Poatan’s opponent- #8 ranked Khalil Rountree Jr., who has yet again left Magomed Ankalaev as the perpetual bridesmaid, desperately hoping to be the bride.
However, the Utah card this weekend will see two title fights. Raquel Pennington will not only look to defend her Bantamweight crown but to resolve the bad blood between them, which started with Julianna Pena winning season 18 of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. Or at least that is what the Brazilian thinks. With all that in store, let us take a look at how the UFC 307 will pay the fighters.

Alex Pereira is perhaps the poster boy of the UFC at the moment. After all, it is unlikely that Conor McGregor will grace the octagon in 2024 and Jon Jones hasn’t fought in over 500 days. ‘Poatan’ meanwhile has not only become a two-division champ over the past year but also defended his Light heavyweight gold twice already. As he looks forward to retaining his crown ahead of the UFC 307 title clash, the biggest active star in the promotion is predictably getting paid the big bucks.
According to reports, Pereira took home an estimated $3 million for his UFC 303 rematch against Jiri Prochazka after Conor McGregor pulled out because of an injury. Pereira had later claimed that it was the purse of his MMA career. The Brazilian will reportedly make an amount similar to that, along, of course, with a cut of the PPV sales.
And ‘Poatan’s next opponent, while not quite as distinguished as the other fighters Pereira has faced in 2024, is every bit as dangerous as them. Perhaps more, ‘The War Horse’ is a seasoned knockout artist himself. Not only does he have one-punch knockout power, but is a southpaw who has vowed to attack the champ relentlessly and knock him out. We can not dispute that. Look at the stats.
You probably have not yet forgotten how he knocked Anthony Smith out in December last year in the UFC Fight Nights. If this is not enough, Rountree is coming off a five-fight winning streak, with four knockouts. So how did it make his pockets heavier?

And while there is no concrete information on how much ‘The War Horse’ is getting to face Pereira, he reportedly made $90,000 in his Anthony Smith fight. UFC title fights usually come with a bump in fighter pay. Since he is headlining this time around, Rountree Jr. may see a significant pay rise and may take home up to half a million dollars. It is unclear if the American native will get any PPV cut. Meanwhile, though not as handsomely paid as the headliners, the undercard fighters can also expect a boost in their pay.
UFC 307 co-main event- Raquel Pennington and Julianna Pena estimated earnings
As the co-main event for UFC 307, the UFC has another banger. A grudge match between women’s Bantamweight queen Raquel Pennington and former title holder, Julianna Pena. Pennington was among the highest-paid fighters at the UFC 297 when she won the 135-pound title defeating Mayra Bueno Silva. She received close to $300,000 for that fight.
This time, Pennington is projected to get at least a champion’s minimum of $500,000 and a cut of the PPV. Pena on the other hand will take home a respectable $400,000 in base pay and being a former champ and co-main eventer, may be eligible for some PPV brownie points as well.
Both the contenders are alums and were roommates on season 18 of ‘TUF’, where the reigning champ went out early while Pena went on to win the entire thing. Pena has called the reigning champion ‘the worst roommate ever’ and there has been a simmering beef between the two ever since. What better way to go out, than putting everything on the line?

How much will Jose Aldo, Kayla Harrison, and Kevin Holland take home for UFC 307?
In addition, many fan favorites will be featured on the card, starting, of course, with the legendary Jose Aldo. The former Featherweight champion will face #11 ranked Mario Bautista as ‘Junior’ tries to make his way up the division for a title shot. Aldo will reportedly make $400,000 in base pay for his 22nd UFC appearance with bonuses possibly raising his total to around $800,000.
Kayla Harrison will try to continue her rapid march towards a title shot as she faces #2 ranked women’s 135-pounder Ketlen Vieira. This will be the second fight of Harrison, a 2x Olympic gold medalist. In her last fight against Holly Holm in the UFC 300, she reportedly made around $300,000. So she is expected to make a similar amount or more than that.
