UFC 306 has finally been announced, and the fans are super excited about the event. The card will serve as the UFC’s second-ever Noche event. UFC 306 will occur on September 14 at the Las Vegas Sphere and will coincide with the Mexican Independence Day. The fight card will also be the first UFC event to take place at the famous ‘Las Vegas Sphere’.
Dana White has always been vocal about organizing a blockbuster event at the Sphere. However, very few predicted that the promise would be delivered this early. The fans took to social media to share their opinion on the whole.

The one-of-a-kind arena is the most sought-after location currently. It can host a standing capacity of up to 20,000 spectators and can also provide a seating arrangement for around 18,600 people. Adding to the sitting capacity, the inside arch of the sphere is wrapped around with a 16 K LED screen as well, which allows the fans to have a visual treat. While there are no fights announced for the event, the fans are excited about the possibilities and have already started making their predictions.
“OFFICIAL: #UFC306 will take place on September 14 at the Las Vegas Sphere in celebration of Mexican Independence Day,” wrote TNT Sports. It is very likely that UFC officials would want the Sphere event to be the biggest in the promotion’s history. The platform would be perfect for Conor McGregor to face Michael Chandler. After all, that is a fight people have been waiting for. Earlier this month, Chandler even appeared on WWE Raw to call out McGregor.
However, there is one problem! The Irish fighter has been itching for a comeback as soon as possible. So fighting in September will only delay his entry once again. Regardless, McGregor might not mind it this time because of how big a potential fight in the Sphere could turn out to be.

Now, even if ‘The Notorious’ doesn’t fight in UFC 306, it doesn’t look like Dana White will have any shortage of fighters who would want to fight there. However, fans are worried about the prices of tickets!
Will fight fans be able to afford tickets?
While fans are excited about the surreal experience, fans feel the ticket prices might be high. “minimum tickets: £20k and your younger brother for the nose bleeds,” wrote a social media user while another mentioned, “bet vegas prices have just shot up haha.”
Further, the Sphere is a $2.3 billion (€2.19 billion) massive venue and stands 366 feet (111 meters) high. The possibilities of what can be done at the place for UFC 306 are vast. Hence, one user seemed very excited about the prospect and commented, “Keen to see what they host there that arena has unlimited potential.”

Considering how big of an event it could be, some fans predictably expected the McGregor-Chandler fight to take place at the Sphere. “McGregor Chandler main event no doubt,” wrote a fan. If this indeed comes true, the reason behind the Irish fighter’s delayed comeback would be apparent.
However, another fan felt that UFC 300 should have been at the Sphere. “I feel this was perfect for 300 tbh,” they wrote. And they may not be wrong in this assessment. The upcoming event has some big names like Alex Pereira, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, and Charles Oliveira, and the cards are stacked.
Some social media users had some pertinent questions. Comments like “Why not Mexico you know to celebrate mexican independence” and “ufc 306 will take place in the USA in celebration of mexican independence day” were abundant.
