UFC Noche was truly a spectacle to watch. The Las Vegas sphere truly provided a ‘Once in a lifetime’ experience to anyone who attended the event, and the ones who missed it surely have been kicking their feet in frustration. However, one veteran of the sport decided to publicly thank Joe Rogan for providing him the tickets to the massive show. But who is the veteran?

Well, it’s none other than Rogan’s former adversary, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. The duo were on a long-standing public feud that stemmed from Rogan’s constant criticism of Rampage’s fighting style. Particularly his lack of leg kicks and defensive techniques. However, now, it is the same MMA fighter who thanked Rogan in the comments of the UFC commentator’s recent post.

A few hours ago, the JRE host posted a video of him entering the LA Sphere for the first time and being amazed at graphics being projected all around the arena. Truly a marvel to look at for anyone who visited. So taking to the comments to thank Rogan for providing him with the opportunity to experience this, Jackson wrote, “Thanks again for the tickets fambo. Great seats.”

For the unaware, Rogan gave Jackson the tickets after apologizing to the MMA fighter on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Frustrated by the constant criticism, Jackson once revealed that he would never be a guest on the show. However, he broke his rule in July when he finally appeared on the show. It was there that the UFC commentator apologized to the MMA fighter by saying, “I apologize to you, too. I’m, like, it’s not personal.”

He further explained that the only reason he was critical of him was because he was always analyzing the match, and all he wished for was for Rampage to improve. “I—just when I’m looking at you, I’m not thinking of you as a human being when you’re fighting. I know you’re a human being, but I’m looking at; I’m analyzing movements and what I think a guy can do to be more successful. I don’t mean, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”

Well, he would be glad he attended the podcast; otherwise, chances are that he would’ve missed 306, something that the Mexican fans wish they’d done.

UFC 306, the most tragic night in recent times for Mexican fighters

The Mexican fans did not provide any hint of cheers on the great Aztec night of the UFC. The Central American country had up to eight fighters on a card made to commemorate Mexico’s Independence Day. However, only a few contenders were able to meet expectations in the octagon of The Sphere in Las Vegas. Raúl Rosas Júnior, the youngest rookie in the history of the UFC, began with a ray of hope for the Aztec public. The Mexican fighter managed to defeat Aoriqileng by unanimous decision in the opening of the evening at the venue. Ronaldo Rodriguez too struggled to get the long-awaited victory for Mexico on the scoreboard of the night.

Edgar Chairez, Yazmin Jauregui, Manuel Torres, and Irene Aldana could not continue with the Mexican souffle of the night. The contenders did not manage to beat their rivals, but they offered a show with the heart that characterizes every Mexican. Alexa Grasso, however, had probably one of the worst showings in her MMA career, as she was completely dominated by Valentina Shevchenko to lose her UFC title. Only two Mexican fighters out of the eight that the UFC counted on for Mexican Independence Day managed to obtain victory over the octagon.

The balance confirms that the results of the card have been one of the worst figures for the Aztec aspirants in recent times within the company. However, they would surely be hoping that things are different for the card prepared around Cinco de Mayo. What did you think of UFC 306? Let us know in the comments.
