UFC 306 inside The Sphere will feature a movie! 

We need to be clear about one thing according to  Dana White: The Sphere is the star of the show. However, when there is a fight, it is the fight that gets the limelight. The UFC head honcho was not playing around when he started this whole plan and he is pretty confident about what he will show the world.

The boss recently gave huge updates about UFC 306 and the fact that the show is going to have movies playing inside the Sphere which contains 16,000 pixels by 16,000 pixels LED screens. This is going to be a goosebump-inducing experience for anyone who will attend the event inside the venue and for those at home, White promised an equally invigorating experience.

UFC 306 is not just another UFC event but a celebration of Mexican heritage and thus it is happening during the Mexican Independence Day. Dana White revealed the massive scale of the event in the post-fight presser for the Dana White Contender Series. He said that there would be short films that show different ‘worlds’ of UFC history and how it evolves into the future. “There are chapters to this movie. So, before each fight is a movie, and you will be focused on the Sphere and the screen. Then, the fighters will walk out and hopefully, what we’re hoping, is that the fight is the star of the show.” White said during an appearance on First Take. On top of that, there are Easter Eggs in the movie which might just make you rich!

According to the UFC CEO, the short films contain easter eggs about UFC. If a fan is capable of finding all these clues, they might win a prize of $25,000. During the presser, he also spoke in detail about these aspects.

“So every night, every Saturday night tonight included we put on an in-house live event and we put on a television event that goes out to the world. Two different types of shows, with two different groups of people that run each one. That night we’ll have two more trucks so you will have the greatest director in Hollywood right now that does all the award shows, okay? His name is Glenn Weiss, he’ll be shooting both of those live and trying to make the people at home feel the experience at the Sphere. So all this stuff has to come together and be seamless on September 14th it’s going to be amazing,” White said.

There was even a huge production team helping White since he wanted to grab all the top awards like the Oscars, Emmy, and even the Grammy.

The boss explained that the promotion doubled its production team and hired 14-time Emmy Award winner Glenn Weiss to direct the event. You can imagine how huge this event is going to be! A lot is riding on the shoulders of the fighters and director who will make this an unforgettable experience.

According to Craig Borsari, the UFC’s chief content officer, the Sphere cards will have six short films about Mexico’s contribution to combat sports. The fights will happen in ‘different worlds’ and the world will evolve as the night progresses from one fight to the other.

Despite all these preparations and plans even Dana White does not know what the result will look like, especially for the audience at home. However, his dream is to produce a documentary experience that can go to the Oscars.

The UFC has hired some of Hollywood’s leading and top directors, animators, and visual artists. Some people have worked with superstars like Taylor Swift, and on the Super Bowl halftime Show, for what Chris Kartzmark describes as “mind-blowing visuals”.

There are other aspects including producing unique fighter kits, paying respect to the gods of ancient Aztec mythology and even having haptic seats. “When something happens that you should feel from the ground up, we’re going to amplify that. So if, say, fireworks are going off or a wall collapses, you’re going to feel it. You won’t just see and hear it, you’ll feel it. Whether or not it will be timed up with fight action, I’ll leave that for people to be surprised by.” Kartzmark further said.
