Alex Pereira’s run in the UFC has been nothing short of spectacular. In just seven bouts over 736 days, Pereira became the first and only fighter to become the UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion. At UFC 303, ‘Poatan’ will be making the second defense of his light-heavyweight crown against Jiri Prochazka after he finished Jamahal Hill in the first round of their fight at UFC 300 to continue his tear through the UFC’s 205 lbs division.

According to a recent interview with Stake.com, Pereira revealed that the short-notice nature of his clash against Prochazka has allowed him to negotiate what could be the largest salary of his UFC journey so far. ‘Poatan’ stated, “This is for sure the best purse that we have negotiated this far, due to all the circumstances around it, like I said that’s another reason for me to see it as another great opportunity for me, it’s going to continue changing my life…”
